Check in: A luxury City Escape at Grand Hotel Sitea, Turin

If you've been following on Instagram, you'll know that I'm currently head over heels in love with the Italian city of Turin. I'm currently writing more about this stunning and under-rated city, but today I want to tell you all about what was the cherry on my cake: staying at the Grand Hotel Sitea.

The Location:

The hotel couldn't be more perfectly placed in the city. Not more than five minutes away from the main train station (on foot!) and right in the heart of the city centre, anything you'd want to visit is close by and completely reachable on foot. Thanks to the city's grid-like architecture, it's also impossible to get lost while trying to find anything! #blessed

The Hotel:

Grand Hotel Sitea is a 4-star accommodation and also something of an institution in Turin, and in my opinion it deserves every praise it gets. The place is incredibly luxurious yet completely tasteful and elegant, which is a difficult balance to achieve! As for the service, the staff treated us in the most friendly and polite manner, and the reception is open around the clock for anything you might require.

The Room:

Obviously, the most important factor when booking accommodation are your sleeping quarters! We chose the Standard Suite, but believe me, nothing was standard about it. The room was huge, impeccably decorated and clean, with a gorgeous view. It was also equipped with air conditioning, free WiFi, internet, satellite TV and a minibar and tea and coffee making facilities.

We were also greeted with some goodies upon arrival, which made us feel quite spoilt!

The only place I'd take a selfie is in a private walk-in wardrobe! #luxeliving
The Food

Sadly enough, we only had time to sample breakfast at the Grand Hotel, but that alone was quite a feast! Whether you like a full continental or you're more into a light, fruity breakfast, the restaurant caters for all tastes and dietary requirements, it really is quite a spread.

The Grand Hotel Sitea isn't exactly budget; one night can cost you over 100 Euro. Nonetheless, rest assured that you're getting the quality and service you paid for. I honestly could not be happier with my stay, and I recommend it to all those who want a quick city escape in beautiful Turin. If it's luxury in the heart of a classic Italian city, the Sitea is your best option.

Disclaimer: The Anti-Tourist was invited to review the Grand Hotel Sitea, but as always, views presented are my own.
