Of Souvenirs and Instagram - Ninemags
I have a confession to make.
I'm a hopeless shutterbug and photography dork. I may not have the best or most expensive equipment, but if I see something pretty or worth memorizing, out comes the camera/phone (much to the exasperation of my friends), as I meticulously try to get the perfect shot. The addiction only gets worse when I'm travelling - but if you follow this blog or my Instagram, you'll have realized that already.
I have another confession to make, and this one's a dark secret of mine.
As much as I preach against traditional ways of seeing the world, and my call for a fresh approach to travelling (this is the Anti-Tourist after all), wherever I go, I always have to take back home with me a magnet as a souvenir of my travels. Yes, I'm that granny who's always plastering the fridge with magnets from all around the world. At this rate, I'll soon have to move on to the freezer too!
So keeping in mind my love for photography and my embarrassing magnet addiction, you can imagine my delight at discovering Ninemags. Created by a group of friends in love with photography and the internet, Ninemags is a brand that prints your Instagram shots, nine at a time! Imagine being able to enjoy your Instagram feed in real life - Ninemags does just that, at a ridiculously cheap price, and with free shipping!
The process is really simple - you log in to your Instagram through their website, pick nine of your favourite shots, check out, and you're done! Now all you have to do is to wait for your postman to bring you your snaps right up to your door :)
I'm incredibly happy with the quality of the magnets - they're slim but sturdy, and the colours and detail I loved on my phone are the same in real life. If like me, you're obsessed with photography, check out Ninemags - I'm sure I'll be printing out more Insta-shots soon! Let me know in the comments section below if you're already a fan of the brand, or at least tell me I'm not the only magnet-hoarder left? Pretty please?
