Tuesday Travel Inspiration: Needle and Passport

If you're anything like me, you wouldn't travel anywhere without your camera. Being snap-happy comes natural when you're in a new place and you want to remember every detail possible. Designer Teresa Lim, however, has thought of a new way of documenting travel - embroidery.

Whilst most of us rush around, trying to see as much as possible of the place, Lim takes the time to embroider the scenes she sees before her, creating the perfect souvenir to take back home. She explains that '...when I'm done with a piece, I actually feel like I know that place, and that gives me a huge sense of satisfaction that I think just taking a photo wouldn't give.'

While I might agree with Teresa, I think it will take some time before I reach her level of skill. Take a look at some of her 'shots' below:

You can find more of her designs on her website here, as well as help her work by donating. I love supporting innovative ways of sharing travel stories, it simply shows that everyone has their own way of living our world :)
