Tuesday Travel Inspiration: China will drown you in colour!
In a Chinese city close to Shangai, you will find the largest small commodity wholesale market in the world. The China Commodities City, as it is called, hosts thousands of stalls (approximately 62,000) with every item you could possibly imagine, from toys to plants, jewelry to home ware. Besides sales made from their stalls, they also export to countries all around the world - you probably have something at home which came from here!
Photographer Richard John Seymour recently braved into this consumerist jungle to bring us the eye-popping photographic diary of Yiwu - an explosion of colour collected in one capitalist mecca. You can find the complete collection here. Until then, may you all have a colourful week!
