Mid-October should mean crunchy auburn leaves scattered all around, pumpkin-flavoured everything and warm socks and boots. The weather in Malta seems to have not received the memo. With temperatures still rising to 28°C in the shade, going to lectures and work is torture.
Today I was lucky enough to have a lengthy mid-day break between work and university, so I quickly threw on my swimming gear and drove to St. Peter's Pool in Marsaxlokk, a mere 10 minutes away from home.
Having the rocky bay almost to myself was just what I needed after a hectic week. I dived right into the clear blue sea, a grin on my face, and I could literally feel the stress ripple away from my brain in waves. Just what the doctor ordered!
