The Anti-Tourist

I like to beat new paths for myself.

London calling!

What can anyone say about London that hasn't already been said? It's a stunning city, and despite being so chaotic and fast-paced, I somehow felt at home. It's one of the few places I wouldn't mind leaving Malta for!

I've been to London twice: once, with my mother way back in 2011, and a second time solo after an amazing weekend in Brighton. Both times were special and incredibly fun, despite the typical grey weather!

London Bridge (thankfully, it was not falling down):

And the houses of Parliament:

Old and new mixing together perfectly in the city, and we couldn't resist a quick ride on the iconic Eye! It's touristy, but a lovely experience if it's your first time in London.

Back on solid ground, the weather cleared for one rare moment, enough for London to flaunt its beauty even more..

My first time in London was the first time I experienced a subway system. We have nothing of the sort back home and I was pretty stoked by how punctual the trains were! You can tell I was excited..

A trip to Harrods in Knightsbridge was obviously a must, even if you can't afford the gorgeous designer clothing on display... *sobs*

A long walk around London followed, so look out for more posts on London town coming up soon!
