Bloomin' Brighton

By 16:24:00 , ,

Brighton was my very first solo trip, and it happened in the most random way... the best things always do, don't they?

Weary and exhausted from studying, I took a break on Stumbleupon, only to find a Pink Floyd exhibition to be held the month after in Central Brighton. One thing led to another, and three days after my last exam I was packed and ready to take off to one of the quirkiest and most wonderful cities I've ever seen.

I've been told the Pier gets busy during the summer months, but in icy February it was silent and other-worldly, which meant I could get snap-happy!

Is it just me, or does the park on the pier look chillingly like Phantasma, the Coney Island attraction mentioned in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Love Never Dies? (Team Phantom btw!) I just loved the peace and quiet of Brighton, especially after a month of hard work at Uni.

Back on planet Earth, I spent the afternoon enjoying the sunset, and sipping on a delicious frozen Ferrero Rocher Moo-shake - not the best option in one of the coldest days of the year, but delightful nonetheless.

This little chap here was up for some waffles too!

Hands frozen and still in awe of Brighton, I strolled off to my hotel. More posts to follow!
